About Our Work
Make the Road New York is a membership-based organization with over 28,000 immigrant and working class members. We have been providing survival services and organizing for transformative, structural change for over 25 years.
The incoming administration has promised mass deportations, the prosecution of immigrant families, U.S. military force against citizens, and the rollback of fundamental rights, like birthright citizenship.
It is up to all of us to protect our futures.
The work we are doing to defend and support our communities will take tremendous resources. We are training thousands of people to know their rights, re-establishing neighborhood defense committees, developing and distributing deportation defense materials at a massive scale, providing fast paced, high stakes legal services, pushing for city and state protections, and so much more.
